Seeing Beauty in Things Discarded
Daddy’s skill and creativity awed me as a child. If he wasn’t tinkering with a motorcycle engine on the kitchen table, then he would be repairing the TV or rewiring a lamp. He could build games and objects for my brother and I from every day items. Like the day he build a steam train from an old teapot and a roller skate. He reinvented, repurposed, changed and breathed life back into things that had lost value to anyone. He made it fun. I’m sure this is why recycling features heavily in my own art creations. Thanks Dad.
